Epic Games' constant updates to
Fortnite:
Save the World and
Battle Royale have shown players the nearest new content is never too far off. The V3.4 patch has gone live and added the new guided missile weapon, an alternate control scheme to
Save the World, and more.
With the guided missile, players will be able to take control of their missile after it's been fired. The missile lasts a whopping 18 seconds, so this explosive can definitely cover some ground. However, the player will be stationary while they're guiding the missile, so it does come at a cost. Exiting the targeting at any time will cause the missile to continue along the trajectory the player was on before exiting. The guided missile can be found in
Battle Royale in both treasure chests and supply drops.
Sniper Shootout is the limited time mode in
Battle Royale this time around, but it's a little different than last time you saw it. The revolver has been removed from the weapon pool while the crossbow and hunting rifle have been added. Players do not go down anymore and instead immediately die upon being knocked out.
In
Save the World, the Combat Pro control scheme has been added. This is one of the most-requested features for
Save the World, and some players are calling the V3.4 patch one of the best updates ever released. Combat Pro bridges the gap between
Save the World and
Battle Royale, which have surprisingly different control schemes considering they're technically the same game. To read more about the new control scheme, Epic wrote an official post about the controls
here.
In
Save the World, the finale, "The Three Husketeers," is available for the "Spring It On!" quest line, which brings "huge explosions, epic Mini-Boss fights, and the Miss Bunny Penny legendary Constructor questline reward."
Of course, both
Save the World and
Battle Royale have had a huge list of changes — even bigger this time due to patches also addressing the mobile version of
Battle Royale — and you can view the
V3.4 patch notes on
Fortnite's official website.
The patch is live now for
