Founded in California back in 2013 by former Telltale employees Sean Vanaman and Jake Rodkin, Mark of the Ninja designer Nels Anderson, and graphic artist Olly Moss, it's been a busy few years for Campo Santo. Following the release of Firewatch in 2016 and the announcement of upcoming title In The Valley Of The Gods at last year's The Game Awards, the 12-person company has been acquired by Valve, developer of Half-Life, Portal and Left 4 Dead.
How will this change things for the developer? Very little in the short-mid term. The team will continue to work on In The Valley Of The Gods, albeit now as a Valve-published title. Any potential worries of the game becoming a PC exclusive have been abated by Vanaman, who confirmed on Twitter that the game will still be coming to consoles, although there's still no confirmation quite yet about which consoles and when.
In The Valley Of The Gods is currently scheduled to makes its way to PC in 2019, and consoles at a later date.
