The campaign in Operation Flashpoint: Red River
just became more dangerous. In Tajikistan, the insurgents are only part of the problem; the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China also wants a piece of the pie, and seeks to stake their claim as "the pre-eminent military authority in the region."
The third narrative trailer, 'Shifting Focus', uses in-game footage to demonstrate how the conflict changes when fighting the PLA. They have vehicles, air support and "state of the art weapons", but more important than that, they have more men and are more organised than the insurgents could ever have hoped to be.
"They must reassess, they had better adapt, or they will not survive... this is not the war they wanted, but this is the war they must fight!"
In case you missed them before, have a look at the previous two narrative trailers. First was 'The Stage Is Set
', followed by the second, 'Entry Into Tajikistan
'.Operation Flashpoint: Red River
is due to be released on April 21st, 2011 in Europe and Australia, and on April 26th in North America.
