TrueAchievements Viral Event 2018

Hello TA Community!

If you've been around on TA for a while, you may recall some of our previous "Viral Events", where we've asked members of the TA community to assist their fellow gamers by passing on those often tricky to unlock viral achievements. It's now nearly 18 months since the last event, so we're putting that right with Viral Event 2018, which will be running from May 19th until June 3rd.

TrueAchievements Viral Event 2018

What is a Viral Event?

For those of you that may be wondering what a viral event is, here's how it works. We’re looking for hosts who are willing and able to pass along their Viral achievements to other TA community members during specially created gaming sessions. Sharing is caring, so if you have a viral achievement we’ll need your help!

What Counts as a Viral Achievement?

The event will obviously include all of the achievements that have been flagged as viral by our Game Info team, such as Red Dead Rockstar in Red Dead Redemption. As with some of our later viral events, we've also stretched our definition of viral to include "sharing" achievements — ones that can be unlocked simply by joining the game of a host who has a save at the right point, such as many of the achievements in Fable II.

You can see a list of all of the achievements that we need hosts for here.

How to Register

Registration is open NOW, so if you have a Viral achievement that you would like to share with your fellow gamers, you can head over to the registration page to sign up as a host. Sessions are typically set for 30 minutes. You can set the maximum number of sessions per day and week there, and you can adjust your availability at any time by altering and saving the info on the registration page. We'll then begin to schedule sessions, and once they're created you'll be notified of the details and eager community members will be able to join.

Viral Event starts on May 19th and runs all day, every day until June 3rd. Clear your schedules, add your missing virals to your boost request list, and join the Community Event Sessions to earn those elusive viral achievements.
