When people think of football games, it's either EA's FIFA and Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer. A new challenger is set to enter the fray with Spanish developer Eclipse Games and their upcoming title Legendary Eleven.
However, unlike those two big hitters whose focus is very much on the stars of today, Legendary Eleven is inspired by the golden age of football that, according to the developer, spans the 70's to the 90's. Considering Scotland were still qualifying for tournaments at that time, I'm personally inclined to agree with them. Players will be able to take any of the game's 36 countries with their glorious haircuts, facial hair and shortest of short shorts to glory. One thing immediately noticeable in the game's trailer is the more arcade-inspired take on the beautiful game with some particularly over-the-top shots on offer. Check it out below.
The game enters Steam Early Access next week before making its way to consoles later this year.
