With the world's biggest game conference, E3, approaching at a rate of knots, it's the time of year for developers, publishers, and platform holders to spring all sorts of leaks in the run up to the event. Microsoft was not immune to the issue this week. When they first published the list of titles coming to the Xbox One this week, the list included Divinity: Original Sin 2
for Xbox Game Preview. With the official announcement not supposed to happen until today, the listing was rapidly removed. It's ok now, though; Microsoft can add the title back into the list seeing as publisher Bandai Namco has indeed confirmed the game is coming to Xbox Game Preview on May 16th.
All players will be able to try out the first three hours of the title for free through Xbox Game Preview. Those who like what they see can pre-order the title for an unconfirmed price; doing so will then unlock the game's entire first act for instant play, offering approximately 20 hours of gameplay. As you play along, you'll likely encounter Feedback Billy, a character put into the game for the purpose of gathering player feedback. Alternatively, if you don't have any comments, you can always take him on in a fight instead. Take a look at the character in action in the video below.
Once you've taken on the game's first act, you'll have to wait until the full version of the title is released in August to be able to continue your adventures.
