New Arcade-Style Racer Team Sonic Racing Announced

By Ethan Anderson,
The last Sonic-themed arcade-style racer was Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, which released back in 2012. Fast-forward to the present, and SEGA has just announced the newest iteration in the series, Team Sonic Racing. This third instalment is once again being developed by Sumo Digital, the makers of the first two games in the series.

Players will be able to race through various circuits based on places in the Sonic universe, as well as use car customisation options, and choose from a number of characters with unique character types. You can race solo, or with up to 12 players online in game modes such as Time Trial, Grand Prix, Team Adventure, and more.
