Wargaming Announces World of Warships: Legends for Consoles

By Kelly Packard, 1 year ago
World of Tanks and World of Warships developer Wargaming has announced World of Warships: Legends for consoles. Despite the name, the developer says Legends is not a pure port of PC's World of Warships, but rather "a native console experience pretty much from scratch while sourcing content and resources from the PC version, which is of course, our main inspiration."

Just like in the PC version, players will "engage in naval battles while commanding destroyers, cruisers and battleships all the while balancing your firepower, maneuverability and ability to plan ahead." According to Wargaming, multiplayer matches will run 15 minutes at most on varying maps and locations.

Players can customize their experience by selecting from different classes and weaponry. Over ten nations are represented in Legends' artillery, and there are seven tiers of ships.

World of Warships: Legends is scheduled to release in 2019 with an alpha test planned to begin in July. Players can sign up for the alpha on the game's official site here.
