When Sword Coast Legends
developer n-Space removed the RPG from marketplaces in December, the servers were expected to remain open "indefinitely." Indefinitely is starting to look like a very short period of time due to an announcement on Legends
' Steam store page
that says the servers will shut down on July 25th.
As of 10 a.m. ET, July 25, our multiplayer servers for the game will be taken offline and all stored player data will be deleted. If you own the game in your Steam library, you will still have access to any offline content including the single player campaign.
Thank you for playing and supporting Sword Coast Legends.
Now, we're not sure if this shutdown also encompasses the Xbox One servers or only Steam. Developers have been known to use the Steam store page as the game's overall hub, and many console closures and delistings have been known in advance thanks to Steam warnings. We've posted in the Steam thread asking for clarification, but the developer hasn't posted in the thread aside from the initial post, and Sword Coast
's Twitter account
has been dead since December 2017.
Due to the niche nature of the game and low amount of players, our flagging for Sword Coast Legends
does not appear to be comprehensive as far as which achievements require use of the online servers and will be discontinued if the servers shut down. Users have informed us that the following achievements require online. Please let us know in the comments if you know of any more.
With the help of the community, we should be able to nail down which achievements need to be completed should the Xbox One servers shut down the same day as the Steam servers on July 25th at 10 a.m. ET. The article will be continued to be updated with more information as we get it.
