This week, the latest patch migrated from the Public Test Server to the main servers of the Xbox One Game Preview version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
. In Update #17, this time the team tried to focus on content. They've merged servers in certain regions, reset the leaderboards, balanced existing weapons and items, added a new weapon, vehicle, and attachments, and made several adjustments to other aspects of the game.
To improve matchmaking times for players in the OC and AS regions, those servers have merged and are now known as OC/AS. The servers are located in Australia, and the developer promises there shouldn't be "much of a change in performance" for players in the OC region.
In terms of new content, the SLR has been added and there is a new Mirado muscle car available on the Miramar map. The patch also means the team has reset the leaderboards. Despite needing at least 1,000 players to populate, most if not all of these should be showing results again. For the rest of the changes, you can check out the patch notes in the spoiler below:
Update #17 is available in-game now.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds achievements.
