July is traditionally a slow month for new releases, and though that's still generally true, the games that did come out this past month were very generous. Take a look at our biggest list of easy achievement games yet. As always, if we missed any, let us and other readers know and we'll get them added. What the Box? Price: $4.99 Completion Time: 2-3 Hours https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/083084.jpg What The Box? is the latest in a long line of hide-and-seek online multiplayer games. One team blends in with their environment while the other seeks them out, this time with box cutters. It makes me nostalgic, as that's precisely how I used to play hide-and-seek too. What the Box? The Journey Down: Chapter Three Price: $19.99 Completion Time: 1 Hour or less https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/081557.jpg If you didn't buy into the full trilogy as a package deal in June, July brought with it the finale to the adventure series. Like with its predecessors, you can get the full 1,000 gamerscore in under an hour. It's all a bit brief, but for what it's worth, players have been enjoying the series too. The Journey Down: Chapter Three Hotel Transylvania 3: Monsters Overboard Price: $39.99 Completion Time: 6-8 Hours https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/082855.jpg This is the first of two games from Outright Games on this list, and like the rest of their small but rapidly increasing body of publishing work, it's an adaptation of a kids property. We'll revisit this game on our next list, The Most Improbable Video Games Made in 2018. Hotel Transylvania 3: Monsters Overboard Super Destronaut DX Price: $4.99 Completion Time: Under 1 Hour https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/083528.jpg Remember InkSplosion? Consider this its spiritual successor from the same team. And the spirit to which we refer is that of cranking out easy gamerscore games to make easy money. My friend and colleague Kevin always says there's an obvious market for those willing to do this sort of thing, and our site numbers seem to back this up. Just ask the folks behind Energy Cycle (Xbox One). Super Destronaut DX The Spectrum Retreat Price: $12.99 Completion Time: 5 Hours https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/080415.jpg Fans of first-person puzzlers have a new one to look out for, and this time there's a bit more story than usual to grapple with too. If you're into that sort of thing, you may want to read our review and see if it's worth booking a room at this creepy hotel. The Spectrum Retreat Danger Zone 2 Price: $19.99 Completion Time: 5-6 Hours https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/083464.jpg Do you still yearn for the days of Burnout's crash mode? Of course you do. We all do. Thankfully, there's Danger Zone and its new and improved sequel. The team at Three Fields busted down the doors of the first game's warehouse and put it into sunny simulated streets of screeching sports cars. Danger Zone 2 The Path of Motus Price: $14.99 Completion Time: 1-2 Hours https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/083021.jpg One of the quickest games of the month, and of the year really, is this one. Motus will take you about as long as it does to watch a movie, with puzzle platforming gameplay that won't fry your brain. If I know this community, though, I bet you'll all still be waiting for a sale. The Path of Motus Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion Price: $39.99 Completion Time: 10 Hours https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/082858.jpg The latest Adventure Time game just barely makes the cut as a quick and easy completion. In part, that's because even if we typically keep this list to games under 8 hours or so, this game is actually good, which is often not the case for stuff on these lists. It's an often too easy turn-based RPG, but as far as licensed games go, it's one of the better ones in a dying breed. Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion The Long Reach Price: $14.99 Completion Time: 1-2 Hours https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/077430.jpg The Long Reach is a pretty dark game, thematically speaking, so it makes sense that it comes from a studio called Paint It Black Games. An adventure game with puzzle influences, think of it as if The Cave wasn't nearly so cozy and cute. The Long Reach The Mooseman Price: $6.99 Completion Time: 1-2 Hours https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/083629.jpg What is it about adventure games that makes their achievement lists so often very simple? The Mooseman is yet another such example. It's published by the same team that made Energy Cycle, so you know they're familiar with easy lists, even as this game, based on pagan mythology, is a bit different than what players may be used to. The Mooseman Gene Rain Price: $24.99 Completion Time: 3-4 Hours https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/083991.jpg A lot of comments on these monthly stories say something like, "I'm not paying that for this game even if it is easy." My best guess is Gene Rain fits that mold. As one of the most expensive games on this list, it also has the unwelcome distinction of being the lowest rated game from the community. It's tallied just nine votes so far among its low player base, but it currently holds a .9 out of 5. Yikes. Gene Rain Wind Tower Candle: The Power of the Flame Price: $19.99 Completion Time: 4-8 hours https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/082851.jpg Our community is a bit split on how long this game takes to finish off, with a few saying under five hours and a few saying as many as 10 hours. Whichever is correct, it still fits in this article. It's also a pretty fun game according to our review, which is sometimes hard to come by on these lists. Candle: The Power of the Flame Remothered: Tormented Fathers Price: $29.99 Completion Time: 3-5 Hours https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/083069.jpg Remothered is a horror game in the vein of Clock Tower and that alone is surely enough to get players to buy into it, especially among horror fans who always seem starved for games in their favorite genre -- I speak from experience here. It's als a pretty easy list with lots of story achievements and a few that are missable but not hard should you know where to look. Just remember to unlock that 1,000 gamerscore with the lights off and headphones on. Remothered: Tormented Fathers We'll be back on the first of every month with our easy achievement list roundups. See you on September 1st!
