"Freemium" PC smash hit Dungeon Fighter Online
will be coming to the Xbox LIVE Arcade later this year courtesy of Softmax, the developer behind MagnaCarta 2
. Dungeon Fighter Online
is a side-scrolling brawler MMORPG that could be best described as a massively multiplayer version of one of Capcom's Dungeons and Dragons brawlers from the early '90s.
The PC version of Dungeon Fighter Online
is a "freemium" title, which means that downloading and playing the game is free, but extra perks such as experience boosts, certain skills/classes/items and even levels to play are restricted to those that pay separately for them. Microsoft has stated that Dungeon Fighter Online
for the XBLA will be a standard downloadable title with "certain online features."
