'Tis the season for movie tie-in games, and THQ has released some screenshots for their upcoming tie-in Kung Fu Panda 2. The game begins with the end-of-movie battle between Master Shen and Po, and then continues with an original storyline.
Players must help Po, the Furious Five with the council of respected masters, Shifu, Croc, and Ox defeat looting wolves, powerful gorillas and clans of barbaric komodo dragons lead by Xaio Dan to save Gongman City, restore balance, and of course... save Kung Fu!
The game will be Kinect compatible, but only for single player gameplay. Saint Devourer managed to uncover further details on the way that THQ plans to utilise Kinect:
Utilizing Kinect, players will then seemingly transform into Po as they block, dodge, duck, punch and kick, no controller required. Onscreen, Po follows their every move as the game takes them into some new terrains and environments.
Kung Fu Panda 2 is due to be released on May 24th, 2011 in N America. A release date for Europe and Australia is yet to be confirmed.
