Astaroth and Seong Mi-Na Return in SOULCALIBUR VI

The character reveals continue to be drip-fed to eager players awaiting the next instalment in the SOULCALIBUR franchise, SOULCALIBUR VI. After Voldo brought the number of known combatants to 15, publisher Bandai Namco has now revealed that the 16th and 17th combatants are returning faces in the form of Astaroth and Seong Mi-Na.

Astaroth and Seong Mi-Na

Known as the Demonic Guard, Astaroth was created by Ares, the Greek god of war and leader of an evil cult, as a means to further their doctrine of destruction and rebirth. Ares remains the golem's master and gave him a fighting style based upon the White Giant. With his giant axe, incredible strength, and martial arts skills to rival those of highly trained warriors, Astaroth is all too happy to kill his victims in a cruel manner as he searches for the cursed sword.

As her name suggests, Seong Mi-Na is the only daughter of the Seong family master the Bladed Rod. She ran away when her father began looking for a suitable partner for her marriage. As she did so, she took the Scarlet Thunder weapon with her, one of the Seong family's most prized possessions. She is trained in the art of the longsword and has the strength and agility to use it with ease, making her a worthy wielder of the weapon that had been passed down through generations of her family.

Both of the characters can be seen in action in the trailer below.

SOULCALIBUR VI will be released on October 19th. Will you be assuming the role of either of these characters, or is there somebody else who you're waiting to be revealed?

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the SOULCALIBUR VI achievements.
