Developer IO Interactive announced the World of Assassination for the upcoming HITMAN 2. World of Assassination is "an ever-expanding game world that will bring remastered and enhanced locations from the previous game to HITMAN 2."
What this means is that all six locations from HITMAN — Paris, Sapienza, Marrakesh, Bangkok, Colorado and Hokkaido — will be available as downloadable content, called the "HITMAN Legacy Pack," for HITMAN 2. Better yet, players who already own the locations will receive them in HITMAN 2 free of charge. The classic locations will include the new bells and whistles of HITMAN 2, like "a brand new progression system, addition of hiding in foliage and crowds displayed at improved fidelity, picture-in-picture mode, strategic use of mirrors, improved combat A.I., new gameplay items like the briefcase, dart gun, flash grenades, etc., new difficulty levels, and much more."
“This is our way to say a big thank you and give something back," said Hakan Abrak, IO Interactive CEO. "We have finally revealed our long-term vision to deliver the World of Assassination, an ever-expanding continuous universe starting from Paris in Season 1, going all the way through to the end of HITMAN 2 and beyond with our future endeavors. To create a universe like this is not only an ambitious task creatively, but also technically. I am in awe and admiration with our incredibly talented team and what they have achieved.”
HITMAN 2 launches November 13th.
