Movie/Game Thriller Transference Dated for September

By Kelly Packard,
At E3 2017, we saw a surprising mash-up: big-budget game publisher Ubisoft and SpectreVision, Elijah Wood's production company, collaborating on a thriller movie-slash-game called Transference. Elijah himself even appeared in the initial announcement. We'll finally get to see what the game is all about with the Gamescom announcement of a September release date.

Ubisoft describes Transference as "an unsettling psychological thriller with all of the tension of a suspense film, combining live-action footage with environmental storytelling to unlock haunting emotions that lingers long after you put the controller down." The game was originally designed with VR in mind and uses the technology on compatible platforms; however, Ubisoft thinks "Transference offers a tense and unsettling experience regardless of platform."

Players can judge for themselves in the five-minute gameplay walkthrough:

Transference launches September 18th at US$24.99 / €24.99.

We've got the full list of Transference achievements - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
