Far Cry 5 Gets Dead Living Zombies and New Game + Achievements

By Rebecca Smith, 4 months ago
The third and final DLC for the Far Cry 5 season pass, "Dead Living Zombies" has arrived. Guy Marvel needs to come up with zombie-filled script pitches to send to Hollywood's elite in the hopes of making it big, and it's up to you to act them out. In the process, you'll earn another set of achievements before perhaps considering taking on the game's New Game + mode, which arrived alongside the game's title update and brings an achievement of its own.

Players will take on a total of seven cinematic scenarios, each filled with waves of different zombies. The thing is, the zombies are getting a bit out of hand, so you'll need to take down the Mutation Stations as well if you're going to stop a much more widespread zombie outbreak from occuring. Each of the seven scenarios can be tackled solo or with a friend, and upon completion for the first time, you'll unlock Score Attack mode. Your score will award you a star rating for each scenario in this mode, and getting the best 3-star rating will unlock weapons and equipment that can also be used in the main game.

The DLC's 7 achievements are worth a total of 165 Gamerscore. Four of them are secret (to reveal the details of the secret achievements, please use this link) while the other three task players with completing everything and killing plenty of zombies.

As well as the DLC, the game received a title update yesterday that brought along a surprise New Game + mode, as well as new weapons, vehicles, outfits, and a whole host of bug fixes. New Game + mode lets players start from the beginning with all weapons, unlocks, perks and challenges intact. There's a new difficulty too, Infamous, with enemies that do more damage, take longer to kill, and will detect you quicker. If players want to complete the game entirely, they'll have to take on New Game + on Infamous difficulty for the final title update achievement. You can find the full patch notes in the spoiler below.
