NBA 2K19: The Prelude
, the free downloadable game that serves as a demo for the upcoming NBA 2K19
, releases tomorrow on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. At the moment, details are scarce as to what the game will offer, but it's probably safe to assume that it will allow players to start their career in "The Neighborhood", with progress carrying over to the game's full release on September 11th.
For those of you with a short memory, the 2K17 Prelude
offered a quick and easy 1,000 Gamerscore, and naturally, most people assumed that the 2K18
version would be the same, especially considering the PS4 version of the game included trophies
. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, as Xbox support confirmed on Twitter that "the developers opted not to make achievements for the title
Will this year's release be the same as last year? Or will we have the chance to unlock achievements this time around? We've already picked up the NBA 2K19: The Prelude trophies
on our sister site TrueTrophies, and after reaching out to our contacts at 2K today, they aren't able to confirm one way or the other as of yet.
