Happy Dungeons Shutting Down June 2019

By Rebecca Smith, 12 days ago
At the end of this year, developer Toylogic will be closing the servers for Happy Wars on Xbox 360 and Windows 10. The servers for the Xbox One version of that title will continue to run. However, it seems like the developer's troubles are not quite over yet, as they've now announced the servers will be closing for Happy Dungeons on June 12th, 2019, meaning the game will only have been available for two and a half years at the time of closing.

Happy Dungeons

A little while ago, a message prematurely appeared in the game stating that the servers were closing. The message was removed shortly after, and now the team wishes to offer some clarification:

To all of you who have played until now, we at Toylogic thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.

Previously, an in-game announcement regarding service for Happy Dungeons coming to a close was incorrectly sent out, causing confusion.

While it is true that Happy Dungeons will be discontinuing service, the date and time was not yet decided when the message was released.

After thorough consideration, we have determined that maintaining Happy Dungeons with the level of quality our beloved players have come to expect will be difficult. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to bring service to an end.

Thank you for playing Happy Dungeons. We would like to offer our sincerest apologies to all of our wonderful players for any confusion caused by the mistakenly released message.
As with their previous title, the team has also issued a schedule for the closure of the game's services:
  • October 15th, 2018 - Happy Jewels and Bundle Packs will no longer be available for purchase.
  • November 12th, 2018 - Happy Dungeons will be removed from the Microsoft Store.
  • June 12th, 2019 - The servers for Happy Dungeons will be closed.
Players can continue to use their Happy Jewels until the game is closed on June 12th. Those who have downloaded the game prior to its removal from the store will be able to download the game again by following these instructions. Of course, once the game's servers are closed, this means all of the game's 42 achievements will be discontinued, so make sure you add the game to your to-do list sooner rather than later if you're wanting to complete it.
