Defiance 2050 Looks at Upcoming Trouble in Paradise Patch

By Rebecca Smith, 3 months ago
Defiance 2050 has a few bugs that need squashing, and we're not just talking about the Hellbugs either. In the latest development stream, Trion Worlds discusses some of the changes that will be made in the next patch for the title. As well as fixing the sieges, which would make the Incursion-Excursion achievement obtainable again, the team will also be adding new content and improvements.

Trouble In Paradise

Next month, the Trouble in Paradise patch will add the Hulker Hell seasonal event. Players will be able to use new weapons and mods to take down the Hulker Hell Arkfalls, as well as getting their hands on "Halloween-themed Prototypes and weapon skins". The standard Arkfalls will also be getting some attention by adding more enemies, waves, and score-based rewards.

The new Crusader class will make an appearance. He's a "melee juggernaut" whose main weapon is a two-handed hammer. He also has the ability to summon meteors to take out enemies. Speaking of enemies, The Grid will be invading the New Frontier. They're EGO constructs that can infect cybernetics and control the individuals attached to them. They'll bring along new story content to introduce them properly.

The weapon vanity system will allow players to apply skins to their favourite loot. Finally, the patch will also add more mission content, a new Faction/Vendor, daily/weekly rewards, and Co-op map Prototypes, plus there will be a plethora of quality of life and bug fixes. A full list of these fixes is coming soon. In the meantime, you can take a look at the developers as they discuss the update in more detail in the stream below.

The Trouble in Paradise patch is due to be released on October 15th.
