Easiest Xbox Achievement Lists from September 2018

By Mark Delaney,
It's October first! That means a few things around here, namely that I intend on loading the homepage with horror-related features for 31 days, but in this case, it means you're all here for last month's easiest gamerscore — and on that note, I have good news! It was another busy month for generous achievement lists with nine making the cut according to our figures. If you feel we've missed any, be sure and let us and other readers know via the comments and we'll get them added to the story. If you're looking for a quick and painless boon to your gamerscore, here's a fresh 9,000 for you.

FullBlast

FullBlast

Price: $5.99
Completion Time: Under 1 Hour
FullBlast is a shoot 'em up, which often means those that are playing for a quick and easy completion may not find it so easy or quick, but in this case it still is. We already have a guide up for the game and as it states clearly on page one, you hardly need to know the genre well to finish it off in about 30 minutes, and a newcomer to shmups will still likely finish in under an hour.

King's Guard TD

Price: $4.99
Completion Time: 6-8 Hours

This one isn't nearly as brief, but it still falls well within our parameters of being a short and easy completion. As the name suggests, it's a tower defense title, which is another genre that is made much easier if you have some experience with the genre. It'll only take seasoned players half a dozen hours to finish off the list, which is one largely of hitting milestones that just take time.

Sigi - A Fart for Melusina

Sigi - A Fart for Melusina

Price: $4.99
Completion Time: Under 1 Hour

Here's one that we reviewed and warned you that it isn't so good as a fart-obsessed Super Mario clone. But if you can stand the smell of it all, it's another sub-one hour 1,000 G, so it's not all stinky, right?

Transference

Transference

Price: $24.99
Completion Time: Under 1 Hour

Wow, our third sub-hour completion of the month! If I recall, that's a new record. Transference, as you may remember, is that weird live-action, Elijah Wood-Ubisoft vehicle that was on stage at E3 a few times. It finally came out and if you're not keen to play it in VR, you can round up more simple gamerscore from this one in less time than it takes to watch any Elijah Wood movie — though if you do that too, I recommend Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

League of Evil

Price: $4.99
Completion Time: 3-4 Hours

Well, it'll take more than one hour, but not by much and it's still just $4.99 like much of this list has been. This is definitely the cheapest month so far. League of Evil is a platformer built with visuals reminiscent of the glory days of platformers. If that appeals to you, this is a good fit given the price and time commitment, though reviews have been just middling. Still, we've all seen worse on these lists, haven't we?

The Last Door: Season 2 (Win 10)

The Last Door: Season 2

Price: $9.99
Completion Time: 4-5 Hours

This one's not on Xbox, so you'll need to grab it on the Windows store if you want to complete it, but it may just be worth the effort as it's short enough and not very taxing in terms of tis gameplay. It may feel a bit weird jumping into the second season of a series you've probably not played before, but then again these lists seem not to share much of the middle space in a Venn diagram with players enthused for video game story, so we expect few are bothered.

My Brother Rabbit

My Brother Rabbit

Price: $14.99
Completion Time: 2-3 Hours

From the point and click factory, Artifex Mundi, comes their easiest game yet. It was recently described to me as "Baby's First Point and Click Adventure," and that's saying something since the studio's entire catalog is nothing but these sorts of games and they're all pretty simple. This one is intended for younger audiences and is meant to be a bit funnier too. If you come to this list each month wondering what Artifex Mundi has got for you each time, know that this month's addition is their quickest yet.

Jack N' Jill DX

Jack N' Jill DX

Price: $4.99
Completion Time: 10-20 minutes

This month's easiest game by far goes to this black and white autorunning platformer. Beating the first level with just a single button press will net you 270 gamerscore, and the rest isn't going to be far behind. I completed this one myself already and I can attest to it being on a nearly Avatar level of simplicity. A few later levels may give you a brief obstacle, but we are talking the difference between ten and twenty minutes here.

Life is Strange 2

Life is Strange 2

Price: $7.99 for episode one, $39.99 for the season
Completion Time: 2-3 Hours

The likely fan favorite on this list, Life is Strange 2 is the rare big budget game with a simple list. Just playing through the chapters and gathering a few collectibles is all it takes here, same as the first game and the prequel. If you're looking for a game that is not just easy and generous with its achievements but also actually a good game, this should be your first choice. Keep it mind you won't get 1,000 gamerscore unless you commit to the whole season.
