Deadliest Warrior & Ugly Americans Games Announced

By zigs00,
MTV Networks has launched a new video game development studio called 345 Games, set to develop products based on their franchises and brands. MTV Networks owns both Comedy Central and Spike TV, and their first two games are based on popular shows from those networks: Deadliest Warriors: Legends and Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon.

Deadliest Warrior: Legends is unsurprisingly based on Spike TV's Deadliest Warrior TV show, and a sequel to last year's Deadliest Warrior: The Game (which was developed by Pipeworks Software). MTV announced that the first game sold over 400,000 downloads, so a sequel is no real surprise.

Like all good sequels, it'll be bigger, better and more badass, adding new warriors, fighting options and arenas, a "more precise" projectile system and an all new campaign mode. The game is scheduled for release on the Xbox Live Arcade in July, priced at 800 MSP.

The brilliantly-titled Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon will release to coincide with the second season of the Comedy Central animated show in August. The game is a four player co-op side scroller, retaining the spirit and humour of the horror-comedy while tasking you to "clean up the chaos and prevent the impending apocalypse by resolving case files and fighting otherworldly citizens." Fans of the show are in for a treat, with the game featuring an exclusive script written by the show's creators and writers and voice work from the entire cast, as well as a brand new character totally unique to the game. Likewise, it's priced at 800 MSP.
