Just in time for the month of horror, the Japanese title Death Mark
will be making its way to consoles for US players. The eerie visual novel developed by Experience originally launched in Japan last year and is set to be available to Xbox One players in the near future. You can check out the trailer below.
The story follows a middle-aged man who has been "marked" and is without any memories or past. Players will be arriving at the Kujo Mansion, where a living doll awaits to explain his fate:
A strange rumor is spreading in Tokyo's H city - those who possess the Mark will die. Unexpectedly appearing on the body, a grotesque birthmark, the person who has the Mark will die from unknown causes. Deprived of your memories, you arrived at a mansion rumored to protect the bearers of the Mark. As the doors swing open, the countdown to death has already begun...
The protagonist is not the only one sentenced to death by the mark. Other victims will arrive at the mansion under similar reasoning and the player will have the choice on who to partner with as they explore what awaits. There are multiple companions to choose from, each with different personalities and mindsets. Furthermore, players will be expected to make intelligent choices and sound reasoning throughout the game to survive.Death Mark
does not have a set date for release just yet; however, the Japanese version of the Xbox One game will be available October 25th.
