New Tactical RPG Encased Announced for Consoles

After reaching their Kickstarter goal with flying colors, the developers from Dark Crystal Games have officially announced the arrival of their tactical-RPG Encased to Xbox One. And to celebrate the reveal of their first video game, the team has produced a special trailer in thanks to the fans.

Inspired by the original Fallout series and the classic sci-fi novel Roadside Picnic, Encased is an isometric RPG based on the unknown. Players will explore a derelict Dome from a civilization long gone, expanding the boundaries of science and extending the reach of technology as they traverse the remains of the Forefathers. To quote the team on just how big they want to expand:

Encased is 30,000 square kilometers of desert, shared among 6 warring factions. It is 150 locations made with love, more than 300 unique NPCs, several companions, more than 70 random encounters, dozens of strange anomalies, and tons of weapons and equipment.
As of now, there are multiple ways to customize and build your character as the game goes on. Like similar games in the genre, dialogue comes with unique choices and there's many ways to traverse the labyrinths.

Encased still has a long way to go, even with their monetary goals completed. With the game still in the process of some considerably large changes, it's unlikely to see a release date any time soon.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Encased achievements.
