Brink's Release Date Brought Forward a Week

These days, game's get delayed all the time, so it's always a nice oddity when the opposite happens - and that's exactly what's happened to Bethesda and Splash Damage's upcoming Brink.

Originally scheduled for release on May 17th in North America and May 20th in Europe, Bethesda announced today that the game will now ship on May 10th Stateside and on May 13th throughout Europe.

Bethesda's Vice President of PR and Marketing Pete Hines explained why the release date has been brought forward a week:

Production wrapped on Brink earlier than we planned and we didn't see any reason to keep gamers from getting their hands on this highly anticipated game as soon as it was ready. It's apparent from the tremendous reaction so far that people are eager to jump online and play, and if we can make that happen earlier - we're going to.

That's one less week to pre-order, so you'd best catch yourself up with all the pre-order bonuses available for the game! Or you could just watch the trailer from last week again...
