Atlus Offers A Chance To Star In Catherine Trailer

By Michelle Balsan, 7 years ago
Ever want to star in a trailer for an upcoming game? No? Well, does the thought of being in one intrigue you anyway? Then you might be interested in the promotion which Atlus is running to support its upcoming title, Catherine (JP).

Atlus is inviting whoever is interested to post a video answering three questions:

1) Do you ever want to get married?
2) If so, and you happen to be seeing someone at the moment, to them?
3) If not, why?

They also put together a video to run us through what they're looking for.

Atlus' Manager of PR and Sales, Aram Jabbari, shared a few words as to the contest.
Catherine offers an unprecedented exploration of the psychology and emotion of relationships and commitment. A lot has been made of the game's salacious content and of the nightmarish action-puzzle-platforming that ties the narrative scenes together, perhaps slightly overshadowing the game's daring subject matter. By allowing fans to share their opinions about such poignant, relatable subjects, we believe it will shine more light on some of the heavy ideas Catherine brings to the table.
This promotion is only open to residents of Canada and the US who are ages 18 or older. You may film a video on your own or with your significant other, just make sure to keep lewd, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate content out of it or your entry will be rejected. You also waive the rights to your video once posted, so make sure you're comfortable with that.

Entries must be posted as a direct response to the trailer posted above and filmed at 720p or better to be eligible for consideration. Video responses will be accepted until 5:00 PM PDT on April 22, 2011. Full contest details can be found in the video description, if you want to check them out.

Catherine is currently scheduled to release in Summer 2011.
