Operation Flashpoint: Red River Gameplay Video

Operation Flashpoint: Red River can support up to four players playing drop-in drop-out co-op throughout the campaign mode and in stand-alone Fireteam Engagements. Players take on the role of one of the four fireteam specialists - Rifleman, Automatic Rifleman, Scout and Grenadier. The loadouts for each class can be customised using XP points, which are gained throughout the missions; they can be used to unlock weapons, skills and class modifications.

There are four Fireteam Engagement modes:

• Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) - players battle to extract allied forces who are stranded behind enemy lines.
• Combat Sweep - players must eliminate all hostile forces whilst completing additional objectives, such as destroying weapons caches.
• Rolling Thunder - players must escort a convoy through enemy territory
• Last Stand - players have to battle increasingly difficult waves of enemies before deciding the best time to bank their points and extract.

The gameplay video demonstrates one of these modes in action:

The 'Co-op Search and Rescue' video showcases gameplay footage from the CSAR Fireteam Engagement mode, as Fireteam Bravo inserts behind enemy lines to rescue downed pilots in enemy territory.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River is due to be released on April 21st, 2011 in Europe and Australia. The game was recently delayed in North America and will now be released on June 21st.
