Now, not everyone would openly admit it, but most of us have dreamed or wondered what it would be like to be a superhero for a day. Correct? Whether you admit them or not, those dreams could soon become a reality as Ubisoft has announced the development of a Kinect-exclusive superhero fighting title, PowerUP Heroes
The game is set to utilise Microsoft's Kinect technology to allow gamers to customise and control their superhero avatar and beat their opponents to a pulp, using full-body combat. The press release continues by providing details about the variety of game modes which will be on offer within the game; these include "two-player cosmic showdown online... local two-player versus and four-player tournament".
The official PowerUP Heroes site
summarises the title's main features, as follows:
Collect over 20 Super Suits - Take on opponents each charged with a different set of deadly powers. Defeat them in battle to seize their super suits, strip them of their abilities, and wield their power for your next battle!
Full Body Brawl - Use your entire body to control how you fight: strike forward to launch projectiles, move your body to dodge attacks and have a friend hop in and unleash double-powered super assaults.
Take the Fight Online - Go online to face-off against other aspiring super heroes. Rise to the top with the online leaderboards and your achievements.
Alongside the announcement, Ubisoft has also released the first trailer:
