Team Cherry has announced the physical release of Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition, which was scheduled for spring 2019 following the game's September digital launch, has been canceled.

In a post on their official website, Team Cherry wrote that moving the game to retail, even with the help of distributor Skybound Games, "proved more work than [a three-person team] could reasonably manage."

Team Cherry will be looking into other ways to physically distribute Hollow Knight, "though likely that will be in smaller quantities," according to the post. In the meantime, the game has been available digitally on Xbox One since September 25th.
