Centuries ago, the world suffered the influence of an unforeseen evil force. Now, the fate of the world is threatened by a demonic plague once again and the demons are wreaking unrelenting mayhem. During the last invasion, one man, our hero, became immortal. Now, he must use his regenerative powers to evade death and save the world in NeverDead
upcoming third-person action game, set in a near-future city landscape. The fantasy and horror influence is obvious when the supernatural battles between humans and demonic creatures begin amongst destructible environments.
The hero of the game is Bryce Boltzman, who is renowned for battling demons. He became immortal when he failed to defeat a Demon King during the last invasion of the world, but for the last 500 years he has led a solitary existence. Now the National Counter Demon Agency (NCDA) has been formed, and Bryce has been recruited to fight the new demonic threat.
Players will use their "unique butterfly design-inspired sword" and a variety of guns to defeat the enemies. The one thing that makes this game individual is the ability to rebuild your body by collecting and repairing your lost limbs. These can then be reattached.
Bryce's reluctant partner is rookie agent Arcadia. Bryce is disinterested but experienced when fighting demons, but Arcadia is cool-headed and professional. The two will have to pair up if they are going to save the world.
Publisher Konami has released a bunch of screenshots for the game:
