Made available in Xbox Game Preview earlier in March, the full release for Snail Games' open-world voxel sandbox survival game, PixARK, has been pushed to early 2019. Concerning the delay, Peter Kang, COO of Snail Games USA, issued the statement:
There have been huge updates and improvements made to PixARK since we launched in March, making it a great game for new players as well as those who haven’t played recently. Our team is looking forward to bringing the final version of the game to players globally early next year.
For those interested in jumping in now or later, the description for the ARK: Survival Evolved / Minecraft hybrid is as follows:
In PixARK, a group of players wake up on a mysterious island, only to find themselves stranded. To survive, they must hunt, harvest, craft items, grow crops and build shelters to protect themselves from dinosaurs, natural hazards and potentially hostile human players. Using skills and the natural resources around them, players must tame or kill vicious creatures and learn to travel between procedurally generated worlds, with no two worlds ever being the same.
