Easiest Xbox Achievement Lists from November 2018

By Mark Delaney, 1 month ago
November was a busy month. While most of the site played Red Dead Redemption 2, nine new releases arrived offering an easy 1,000 Gamerscore each. The list includes one game in Game Pass and a AAA title too, though for that one you won't get a full 1,000 if you just play the base game, but for those looking to notch another completion, it's certainly the game with the biggest budget and most prestigious history on this list. Here are your November 2018 easy achievement lists.

Gem Smashers

Gem Smashers

Price: $12.99
Completion Time: 3-4 Hours

What is it about smashing gems that never gets old for some gamers? Who knows, but the team behind this one certainly knows how to title their game with that longtime mechanic at the forefront. Gem Smashers has been available on many other platforms before now, but its Xbox debut has been generous with 44% of early adopters already finishing the game.

Shadow of Loot Box

Price: $7.99
Completion Time: 2-3 Hours

Yet another game from Ratalaika has hit this monthly list, and it seems accurate that no publisher has been present on here more than them. They famously release games that almost always have quick and easy 1,000 Gamerscore lists. Shadow of Loot Box, a satirical take on the current video game economy, is the latest, but certainly not the last.

Scalextric

Scalextric

Price: £9.99 (Not available in North America)
Completion Time: 1-2 Hours

This arcade racing game has terrible site ratings, with just 1.2 stars out of 5 at the moment, and it makes a good case for all those that comment about not playing some bad games just for easy Gamerscore, but we know that isn't going to stop many people, but its region restriction will. It's not yet sold in North America.

Doodle God: Crime City

Doodle God: Crime City

Price: $6.99
Completion Time: 2-3 Hours

A sequel to a game that lets you play as a deity now lets you play as a cop. That's a strange transition, but if you like the series, Crime City is the biggest game in the Doodle God franchise to date. With over 500 puzzles, it'll keep you busy long after the brief completion should you like to stick around.

MechaNika

24/10/2018 - Carousel

Price: $5.99
Completion Time: Under 1 Hour

We'll have our review of this adventure game up soon, but for now, just know that it's one of two sub-one hour games on the list. It has decent site ratings too, 3.5 stars currently, and it's already been completed by 73% of its players on site. If you like a simple point and click, this should be your go-to.

Noir Chronicles: City of Crime

Noir Chronicles: City of Crime

Price: $14.99
Completion Time: 2-3 Hours

This one is Artifex Mundi's contribution for the month. The developer-publisher has made the list every month this year and probably would've made it many more months back were we doing this feature earlier than January. It's even a bit quicker this time, topping off at three hours instead of four.

HITMAN 2

HITMAN 2 screenshot

Price: Free prologue with 300 Gamerscore, $59.99 for full game
Completion Time: 3-4 Hours (excluding all but the prologue)

AAA Games don't tend to make this list, but Hitman 2 does because of its peculiar delivery. The prologue, same as 2016's game, is entirely free, includes 300 Gamerscore, and will count as a completion on site should your settings ignore unowned DLC. The full 1,000 (or even 2,000 if you get the Legacy Pack), will take much longer, but if you're just looking to notch another completion toward that site stat, Hitman 2 is a partially free and totally fantastic game.

Storm Boy

Storm Boy

Price: $5.99
Completion Time: Under 1 Hour

Here's the other one you can do in less time than it takes to watch an episode of an HBO series. It's based on a decades-old children's book too, which is an interesting route for a video game. It's a leisurely game with some basic adventure gameplay, so it can be considered an adequately casual title and something good for families. You could do much worse on this list.

The Gardens Between (Easy Game of the Month)

The Gardens Between

Price: $19.99, also included in Game Pass
Completion Time: 1-2 Hours

This one gets our new monthly award because the puzzles and art style look great, it's received good ratings so far from the community, and it's included in Xbox Game Pass. It's only been out for a few days but 40% of players have already finished the achievement list. Shorter than a movie and with a lot to like about it, it's earned our highlight for November.
