Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Gets New Co-Developer

By Rebecca Smith, 1 month ago
Development on Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has been plodding on since its successful Kickstarter back in 2015. While Koji Igarashi (otherwise known as IGA) and his team at Inti CREATES have been doing a great job so far, they've decided to bring on some extra help. As such, WayForward, the developer behind the Shantae games, has been brought on board to lend their expertise to the project.

IGA states the reason for their inclusion is because they are "top-tier when it comes to side-scrolling action games", and they'll be helping to make Bloodstained "become an even better game". In the meantime, the team showed off concept art for a new enemy known as the Cyhyreath. When players first see her, she'll be crouching on the floor, but as soon as they approach, she'll let loose a death shriek and fly around to attack the player.

WayForward has already been squashing bugs, and with their help, the game is due to be released next year on Xbox One and Windows 10.
