Post-Apocalyptic Far Cry Teased By Ubisoft, Reveal Coming Thursday

By Mark Delaney, 1 month ago
The Game Awards rumors are already starting to get out of hand, but here's one that's no rumor at all. Ubisoft has revealed a new Far Cry game is on the way. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting and will be revealed in full on Thursday at The Game Awards. No other information was given quite yet, but the publisher did release this teaser trailer.

The announcement seems quite sudden, coming not even a year after Far Cry 5 hit stores. It seems Ubisoft is following a similar path to previous Far Cry games, like when the third game was followed by Blood Dragon and the fourth was followed shortly thereafter with Primal. We'll know plenty more when this next apparent spinoff is shown again at The Game Awards.

You can catch the show this Thursday at 5:30 PT / 8:30 ET / 1:30 GMT.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Far Cry New Dawn achievements.
