Prey: Mooncrash Typhon Hunter Update Coming Next Week

By Rebecca Smith, 7 days ago
Prey: Mooncrash and a free base game update were released on the day they were officially unveiled at E3 this year. At the same time, Arkane Studios also promised more content for players to look forward to later this year. The Typhon Hunter update includes a 5v1 multiplayer experience where five Mimics take on Morgan Yu in the ultimate game of hide and seek, and they've revealed it will finally be arriving next week.

At the start of each match, the five Mimic players get a short amount of prepartion time to decide whether to hide orprepare an ambush. After that, it's a battle of wills. Morgan will win if all of the Mimics are killed before time runs out, but he/she only has a Pistol or a Wrench as a weapon. On the other hand, the Mimics just need to stay alive as they only have one life. If Morgan is killed, she will respawn, although the Mimics get a vital few seconds to regroup and change strategy if necessary. The matches will take place in a variety of Talos 1 locations, such as the Yellow Tulip Karaoke Bar and Morgan’s office.

Players won't have long to wait for the arrival of the multiplayer mode as it's due to be released next week on December 11th. The update will be free to those who own the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, or who own the "Prey: Mooncrash" DLC.
