Patrice Désilets' Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Revealed

By Rebecca Smith, 1 month ago
Patrice Désilets is best known as the creator of the Assassin's Creed series. No longer part of Ubisoft, he formed Panache Digital Games in 2014 and the studio has been hard at work on their debut title. At The Game Awards, that title made its public debut with a trailer. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will arrive on Xbox One next year.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey takes players to Neogene Africa as it was 10 million years ago. They're challenged with surviving and evolving from one generation to the next, expanding their territory and heping their clan to advance. The open world environment will include a range of terrain and environments, and will be filled with predators looking to stop homonid evolution in its tracks. Each ability that is learned by players can be passed on to future generations so that they're the best they can be when the game ends at a timeline of roughly 2 million years ago. You can see exactly what they mean in the trailer below.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will be released next year, more specifically some time after the end of March.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey achievements.
