Returning once again is the Winter Wonderland event, bringing two new game modes and a bundle of new character content to the world. With the event in progress, this also means that a few previously discontinued achievements will now be available to players who participate. Returning Game ModesYeti HunterArmed with a Yeti trap, players take on the role of Mei as they hunt for the legendary abominable snowman. Immune to all freezing abilities and driven with hunter, this Yeti is on the lookout for meat to unlock his Primal Rage, and is fully prepared to protect himself. Teams of five have one chance to nab him, or wreck havoc for their enemies by eliminating the other team to score a victory. Don't forget that Yeti Hunter comes with three achievements as well.Mei’s Snowball OffensiveUsing a super-powered snowball from Mei's Endothermic Blaster, players will compete in the ultimate snowball fight, with only one shot to slay their enemy. When you're out of ammo, just search the map for a new pile of snow, and hopefully avoid your enemies along the way. Mei's ultimate will now create an automatic "snowball launcher" that can clear the battlefield in minutes, so be ready for mayhem if you choose to participate. New RewardsFinally, with the revival of Winter Wonderland comes a brand new batch of aesthetic content for players. New skins, emotes, and highlights are just a few of many additions. Each item can be collected through Winter Loot Boxes, available by playing the game during the event.
