Microsoft Jackpot Servers Close in June

By Rebecca Smith,
Microsoft's Casual Collection has been quite a success for them on Windows 8 and Windows 10. While that collection continues to grow and change with the times, evident in the recent release of Microsoft Wordament on iOS and Android, some of the older titles are being left behind. One of those is Microsoft Jackpot — Microsoft revealed the servers will be closed in June 2019 and the game has already been delisted.

As of yesterday, December 19th, the game was removed from the Microsoft Store. Players can also no longer purchase coins for the game. Anybody who has purchased coins from June 19th to December 19th will be "automatically refunded" for those purchases.

The game will continue to run as normal without the ability to purchase coins until the servers are closed on June 19th, 2019. While only one of the game's achievements is marked as online, the official statement declares that "game services including daily bonus coins, ad-watching for coins, cloud sync, leaderboards, and achievements will cease" on that date. This suggests that players won't be able to earn any achievements in the game once that date is reached, so if you've already downloaded the game and haven't gotten all of the achievements yet, I suggest you do so sooner rather than later.
