With an irrefutably rocky start, the limited success of Fallout 76
has been a topic all throughout 2018. Various attempts have been made by Bethesda to amend the situation with fans, from consistently releasing patches
to fix the state of the game, to replacing canvas bags
to Power Armor Edition owners.
Now, Bethesda has recently tweeted yet another offering as a not-so-subtle apology. Any gamer who has played Fallout 76
, no matter the console, is eligible for a free copy of the Fallout Classic Collection,
, Fallout 2
, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel
It's important to note that the Classic Collection
is on PC only; the original Fallout
titles will not be ported over to consoles anytime soon. This means that, if you fit the demographic of an Xbox player, you'll need to find another way to play your reward. It's also only available for those who played Fallout 76
in 2018. So if you happened to get the newest installment as a Christmas gift, you might want to add it to your tag before the new year. It was not stated how the process will occur, or how Bethesda will authenticate the existing owners.
As mentioned in the tweet, the promotion is set to appear in January. But is it enough to earn the respect of the community? Will it be enough to earn yours?
