Easiest Xbox Achievement Lists from December 2018

By Mark Delaney, 15 days ago
Don't say your final goodbyes to 2018 before you check out the last easy achievements story of 2018. This was our first year of doing the feature and you can bet we'll keep it going into 2019. December wasn't as sparse as you may have figured and — bonus — not all the games are mediocre or worse this time.

Energy Cycle Edge

Energy Cycle Edge

Price: $4.99
Completion Time: 1 Hour

The sequel to one of Xbox's easiest games ever, Energy Cycle 2: Electric Boogaloo is just about as easy as you remember. Comically, there is one achievement that requires you to take 15 minutes to solve a puzzle, during which time we suggest making some lunch or perhaps googling the Fermi Paradox. Interesting stuff.

On A Roll 3D

On A Roll 3D

Price: $4.79
Completion Time: 3-4 Hours

This physics platformer follows in the footsteps of many games that have graced this list in past months coming from the puzzle platformer genre. Despite the genre being so tough at times, its floor of difficulty can also be very, very low too, as we see here once again.

Desert Child

Desert Child

Price: $11.99
Completion Time: 4-5 Hours

One of the featured Winter of Arcade games, Desert Child combines 2D action with a story that is more than the visual style may let on. Xbox handpicks which games make it into promos, so you can be sure for once this isn't just another easy but bad game.

Lazy Galaxy: Rebel Story

Lazy Galaxy: Rebel Story

Price: $7.99
Completion Time: 3-4 Hours

Besides platformers, the other genre that appears in this feature often is, surprisingly, shoot 'em ups. Like those platformers, shmups can also be very tough, but also pretty simple at times. This is another easy one to add to the long list from 2018.

Kingmaker: Rise to the Throne

Kingmaker: Rise to the Throne

Price: 14.99
Completion Time: 2-3 Hours

New month, new Artifex Mundi game. Like clockwork, the classic point and click dev is back with yet another new release, extending the consecutive months streak to an estimated 4,650, give or take. Early estimates have this one being a bit quicker than most too, topping off at around three hours versus the usual four or five.

Donut County

Donut County

Price: $12.99
Completion Time: 1-2 Hours

Probably the highest profile game on this list, Donut County had a stuttered launch onto consoles, appearing first on PS4 earlier this year. It was also the victim of mobile shovelware clones that came out faster and cheaper than this one, but we know which is really deserving of our money.
