Originally revealed back in 2018, RPG Maker MV
does exactly as its name describes, allowing players build, customize, and share their unique RPG creations over Xbox. It was originally set to release on February 26th, however, NIS America recently announced that the launch has been delayed until later this year.
The official statement given regards the delay as a result of technical issues:
The release for RPG Maker MV will be delayed due to ongoing issues with development. Until they are resolved, the release date will be postponed for later in 2019. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to all those who are looking forward to this game, and we are taking action in order to deliver the best possible product to our fans.
No further details were given, however, it has been noted that the Xbox One version released in Japan has growing reports of bugs, crashes, and corrupted saves. It's not unlikely that this delay is to fix the same issues before reaching the public a second time.
No alternative release date has been set, but you can expect RPG Maker MV
to launch in the final months of 2019, at least until further notice.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the RPG Maker MV achievements.
