Metro Exodus Limited Edition Looks Incredible, But You Can't Buy It

By Sam Quirke,
Not to be deterred by Fallout 76's disastrous collector's edition, 4A Games have announced an Artyom Edition for Metro Exodus. There are two key differences though: there's only ten of them, and you can't buy them...

In case you missed it, the video above features Dmitry Glukovsky, author of the Metro novels from which the games have sprung. He's putting his signed seal of approval on this impressive edition in a steel ammo crate. It contains:

  • A fully-functionally, hand-made Nixie Watch
  • A Gas Mask and Filter
  • A working Bullet Lighter made from a decommissioned sniper shell
  • A hand-made steel Spartan dog tag, personalised for the recipient
  • A leather map case and map of the Aurora's journey
  • A personalised Certificate of Ownership, signed by Dmitry Glukhovsky and 4A Games' Creative Director Andrew "Prof" Prokhorov
How can 4A Games avoid a PR disaster when paying customers aren't satisfied? It's simple: Don't make them pay for it. With only ten made and one given to 4A Games, the only way any of us can get hold of the remaining nine is to look out for contests on Metro's social media. If you're interested you should register on the official site and follow the game on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

If you still want a fancy edition but don't quite want to look like a doomsday prepper, you can go for the slightly less full-on Spartan Edition, Aurora Edition or Gold Edition.

Metro Exodus will be departing on February 15th 2019.
