Inspired by classic series such as Ghosts 'n Goblins and Castlevania, Odallus: The Dark Call is an indie platformer from 2015 that made waves as a homage to the genre. With an all-around successful career on PC, the developers at JoyMasher recently announced that the title would now be arriving to consoles as well.
In Odallus, dispair plagues the unnamed lands, a world that has since been abandoned by the gods. With nothing to stop the sinister forces left behind, an army of darkness begins to grow, feeding on human souls to bolster its numbers. Players take on the role of Haggis, a weary and fatigued warrior who raises his sword against the army of darkness, all in the hopes of finding his son. With eight different levels to explore and secrets hidden within every location, only by slaying the leaders of the horde can peace be restored to those who have been forgotten.
Odallus: The Dark Call has yet to receive an official release date for Xbox One, however, JoyMasher states that fans can expect the platformer to arrive sometime in Spring.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Odallus: The Dark Call achievements.
