Overwatch Lunar New Year Event Returns This Week

By Rebecca Smith, 28 days ago
The annual Lunar New Year event is a notable fixture in the Overwatch calendar. In 2017 they celebrated the Year of the Rooster, while in 2018 it was the Year of the Dog. This year it will be the Year of the Pig, and the event will kick off on January 24th.

While details on the event are scarce right now, the team has promised to reveal a limited edition event skin on their social media channels every day until the event begins. So far, we've had a glimpse at Lü Bu Reaper, Huang Zhong Hanzo, and Guan Yu Reinhardt.

Seeing as recent events have brought along new achievements, it seems likely (although not confirmed) that this one will do too. Players will also likely get another chance to earn the Year of the Rooster achievements. The event begins on Thursday, January 24th, and runs until February 18th.

We've got the full list of Overwatch: Origins Edition achievements - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
