After several delays and an avalanche of trailers showcasing some of the game's soundtrack, Chucklefish has announced that Wargroove will be releasing on the Xbox One and Windows 10 as an Xbox Play Anywhere title next week.

To celebrate the news, they've released a new cinematic trailer that can be viewed below:

If you've not been following news on the title, Wargroove is a turn-based strategy game that features support for up to four players, offering a modern take on popular tactical games from the 2000's, such as Advance Wars. Choosing one of 12+ available Commanders, players will fight enemy factions and use the special "groove" skill strategically to help tilt the battle in your favour.

The game will be available in 10 languages, and will also feature custom map design that can be shared with the Wargroove community, cutscenes, and "campaign stories with easy-to-use editors and in-depth customization tools."

Everyone at Chucklefish is truly humbled by the support we’ve received throughout the development of Wargroove, and the encouragement to keep going until we were truly happy with the game. Wargroove is Chucklefish’s second in-house project and with the quality of its art, sound and technical achievements we can also see our own progress as developers reflected in its outcome. We’ve come to realize that for a game to succeed it can’t be anything less than a labor of love. We hope Wargroove will challenge and delight you in equal measure.
Wargroove releases on Xbox One and Windows 10 on Friday, February 1st.
