After skipping a release last year, publisher Big Ben and developer Kylotonn have revealed that WRC 8, the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship, will be releasing on the Xbox One in September. You can check out the announcement trailer that showcases the pre-season tests of a Ford Fiesta World Rally Car racing around Rallye Monte-Carlo and the new Rally Turkey below:
After listening to feedback from fans of the WRC series and suggestions from the eSports WRC Championship, the developers have taken advantage of the extra 12 months of development time to "improve all aspects of the game: better graphics, more technical routes, smoother pace notes and a more comprehensive career mode." There's also the inclusion of a newly developed dynamic weather system that will add to the realism, and add some random elements that players will have to get to grips with in order to set the fastest times.
Featuring 100 tracks set in 14 different countries, WRC 8 will include all of the official teams and drivers from the 2019 season, a selection of WRC 2 and Junior WRC drivers, and will also see the return of some historic models that will be revealed at a later date.
WRC 8 will be skidding on to the Xbox One in September.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the WRC 8 achievements.
