Overwatch Teases New Paris Map and Twitch All-Access Pass

By Rebecca Smith, 17 days ago
Overwatch: Origins Edition players will soon be able to head into battle on a new Assault map. Currently available on the PC PTS, Paris promises to be "an elegant city of art and romance", not that you'll notice much as you're trying to take down your enemies. If watching the game is more your thing, though, you may be more interested in the new All-Access Pass that will be available through the channel in just a few days' time.

Paris

In Paris, players will start at the Cabaret Luna where they'll meet Luna, an android cabaret singer. However, she's not the main attraction, nor is the playable piano that's also inside the club. For that you'll need to head into the streets, past the artisan shops and through tight alleys until you reach the River Seine. Eventually you'll reach the Maison Marat for the final showdown. Paris is currently in the PC Public Test Server but will be arriving on consoles "soon".

For those who enjoy watching the game in action too, the game will be getting a new All-Access Pass that will be available exclusively through Twitch. The Pass offers a variety of viewing options. As well as the main broadcast view, there will be the chance to watch from the perspective of any of the game's pro players or any role, or you can take an overhead view. Some of you might be wondering why you'd want a pass when you could just watch the gameplay for free anyway? Well, players who buy the pass also get the following benefits:

  • 200 Overwatch League Tokens ($9.99 value) to use on 100+ Overwatch League Hero skins. 100 tokens gets you a Hero’s home and away team skins.
  • 20% off all Overwatch League merch to sport your team’s gear IRL*
  • Ad-free viewing on all Overwatch League Twitch channels
  • Passholder-only chat to talk with others who are just as into the game as you are
  • Participate in Q&A’s with Overwatch Pros for extra tips and insight
  • 2 exclusive chat badges to show off your fandom in any Twitch channel
  • 3 team-themed emotes to show your colors in chat
  • 500 bonus Bits for Twitch Prime members (membership must be active at time of purchase)
The pass will be available at the start of the 2019 Overwatch League on February 14th for US$14.99. If you're not entirely convinced about what you're getting, you can try it out for free for 48 hours on the same day.

Finally, Blizzard has promised that any players who have missed out on their spray rewards from the recent 2019 Lunar New Year Event, because they completed the achievements early, will receive their rewards with the next game patch. We don't have an estimated time for that patch but we'll let you know as soon as we hear more.
