Kingdom Hearts III Ships Over Five Million Copies in First Week

By Dave Horobin, 17 days ago
Square Enix has today announced that KINGDOM HEARTS III has shipped over five million copies since its release last week, making it the fastest selling game in the history of the series. The game didn't perform quite so well in our exclusive Xbox Gameplay Chart where the Disney RPG was only the 11th most popular game of the week, but the sales statistics are still pretty impressive.

The five is a combined total between both digital downloads and physical copies sold to stores on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but what's most interesting from the sales figures is that in one week, Kingdom Hearts III has almost already met the 5.2 million lifetime sales for Kingdom Hearts II and puts it hot on the heels Kingdom Hearts' 6.3 million.

Kingdom Heart III is available now.
