A recent Eurogamer interview with Apex Legends lead producer Drew McCoy suggested that Titanfall 3 wasn't in the works. More news from EA and Vince Zampella changes the script a little, with a Titanfall "premium game" of some sort due in 2019.
Apex Legends' player numbers are growing rapidly each day
In EA's recent earnings call (transcribed by Seeking Alpha, CEO Andrew Wilson talked enthusiastically about Apex Legends and went on to say that "Respawn also plans to launch a premium game this year that is a new twist on the Titanfall universe."
Vince Zampella, CEO of Respawn Entertainment, backed this statement up with the following tweet:
Noticeably, no one is saying Titanfall 3. In fact, no one is even saying "consoles" or "AAA title", so we're stuck with very little information on what this "premium game" could entail. We'll just have to wait and see what the next few months will bring, but it seems certain that Respawn's focus will remain on Apex for the time being.
