When Mortal Kombat 11 was revealed three weeks ago, seven kombatants were confirmed for the roster — Raiden, Scorpion, Skarlet, Baraka, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, and Shao Khan. Now, two more returning characters have been confirmed for the game, Kabal and D'Vorah.
Kabal used to be a Black Dragon enforcer. Since he was resurrected as an evil version of his previous self, he has to rely on an artificial respirator to keep him alive. He's now a revenant serving the Netherrealm and he wants to destroy the other realms. The latest trailer for the character shows his lightning speed and Hook Swords in full swing.
Last night's Inside Xbox episode was where the second returning character was revealed. D'Vorah is a Kytinn, an insect inside a human body. She comes from the Arnyek islands, but when the realm was conquered by Shao Kahn, she chose to move to the Outworld and serve as Kotal Kahn's first minister rather than becoming a slave. She's now embroiled in a civil war against Mileena.
Mortal Kombat 11, together with its nine confirmed kombatants, will be released on April 23rd. Keep your eyes open over the following weeks for more kombatants to be confirmed for the roster.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Mortal Kombat 11 achievements.
